At Mitland, your stay is sustainable! We do everything we can to limit the impact on the environment, without compromising the comfort and quality for you as a guest.

As a hotel guest, you can also contribute to a better environment. For example, by using your towels more often or turning off the heating when you leave your room. As a hotel guest, when you leave your room, your room key already switches off the lights automatically.

The Mitland Hotel can rightly be called one of the greenest hotels in Utrecht. It is located in green surroundings, on the edge of the most beautiful park in Utrecht, Stadspark Voorveldse Polder. This recreational park has plenty of water and, above all, lots of greenery. Next to the historic Fort De Bilt, it has, somewhat hidden away, a real water playground. The many paths through the park make it ideal for running or walking while staying at our hotel.

From the Voorveldse Polder, it is very easy to cycle towards the Utrechtse Heuvelrug via Biltsestraatweg and Biltse Rading, or through one of the surrounding villages such as Bosch en Duin, Huis ter Heide and Den Dolder.

It is not only the location on a beautiful park that makes Mitland a green hotel, but especially the many measures taken to reduce the impact on the environment.

Since 2012, Hotel Mitland has held a Golden Green Key. This certificate is an international quality mark for companies that are serious and verifiable about sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Hotel Mitland can rightly be called one of the greenest hotels in Utrecht. Not only because of its location next to a beautiful park, but especially because of the many measures taken to limit its impact on the environment.

A major renovation in 2006 made it a sustainable eco-hotel. For instance, the roofs are planted with sedum, which provides natural insulation and reduces energy consumption. A special pit for organic waste has been installed in the kitchen. This generates biogas. The hotel also has 464 solar panels.
